O you who believe! do not take for intimate friends from among others than your own people; they do not fall short of inflicting loss upon you; they love what distresses you; vehement hatred has already appeared from out of their mouths, and what their breasts conceal is greater still; indeed, We have made the communications clear to you, if you will understand.
Qur’an 3:118
3:118. நம்பிக்கை கொண்டோரே! நீங்கள் உங்(கள் மார்க்கத்தைச் சார்ந்தோர்)களைத் தவிர (வேறெவரையும்) உங்களின் அந்தரங்கக் கூட்டாளிகளாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்; ஏனெனில் (பிறர்) உங்களுக்குத் தீமை செய்வதில் சிறிதும் குறைவு செய்ய மாட்டார்கள்; நீங்கள் வருந்துவதை அவர்கள் விரும்புவார்கள்; அவர்கள் உங்கள் மேல் கொண்டுள்ள கடுமையான வெறுப்பு அவர்கள் வாய்களிலிருந்தே வெளியாகிவிட்டது; அவர்கள் நெஞ்சங்கள் மறைத்து வைத்திருப்பதோ இன்னும் அதிகமாகும்; நிச்சயமாக நாம் (இது பற்றிய) ஆயத்களைத் தெளிவு படுத்திவிட்டோம்; நீங்கள் உணர்வுடையோரானால் (இதை அறிந்து கொள்வீர்கள்
O ye who believe! Take not for friends unbelievers rather than believers: Do ye wish to offer Allah an open proof against yourselves?
Qur’an 4:144
4:144. முஃமின்களே! நீங்கள் முஃமின்களை விடுத்து காஃபிர்களை (உங்களுக்கு உற்ற) நண்பர்களாய் ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்; உங்களுக்கே எதிராக நீங்கள் ஒரு தெளிவான ஆதாரத்தை அல்லாஹ்வுக்கு ஆக்கித் தர விரும்புகிறீர்களா?
O ye who believe! take not the Jews and the Christians for your friends and protectors: They are but friends and protectors to each other. And he amongst you that turns to them (for friendship) is of them. Verily Allah guideth not a people unjust.
Qur’an 5:51
5:51. முஃமின்களே! யூதர்களையும், கிறிஸ்தவர்களையும் உங்களுடைய பாதுகாவலர்களாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள். (உங்களுக்கு விரோதம் செய்வதில்) அவர்கள் தம்மில் சிலர் சிலருக்குப் பாதுகாவலர்களாக இருக்கின்றனர்; உங்களில் எவரேனும் அவர்களைப் பாதுகாவலர்களாக ஆக்கினால் நிச்சயமாக அவரும் அவர்களைச் சேர்ந்தவர் தான்; நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ் அநியாயக்கார மக்களுக்கு நேர்வழி காட்டமாட்டான்.
O Ye who believe! Choose not for guardians such of those who received the Scripture before you, and of the disbelievers, as make a jest and sport of your religion. But keep your duty to Allah if ye are true believers.
Qur’an 5:57
5:57. முஃமின்களே! உங்களுக்குமுன் வேதம் வழங்கப்பட்டவர்களிலிருந்தும், காஃபிர்களிலிருந்தும், யார் உங்கள் மார்க்கத்தைப் பரிகாசமாகவும், விளையாட்டாகவும் எடுத்துக் கொள்கிறார்களோ அவர்களை நீங்கள் பாதுகாவலர்களாக ஆக்கிக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள்; நீங்கள் முஃமின்களாக இருந்தால் அல்லாஹ்வுக்கே அஞ்சி நடந்து கொள்ளுங்கள்.
There is for you an excellent example (to follow) in Abraham and those with him, when they said to their people: “We are clear of you and of whatever ye worship besides Allah: we have rejected you, and there has arisen, between us and you, enmity and hatred for ever,- unless ye believe in Allah and Him alone”: But not when Abraham said to his father: “I will pray for forgiveness for thee, though I have no power (to get) aught on thy behalf from Allah.” (They prayed): “Our Lord! in Thee do we trust, and to Thee do we turn in repentance: to Thee is (our) Final Goal.
Qur’an 60:4
60:4. இப்றாஹீமிடமும், அவரோடு இருந்தவர்களிடமும், நிச்சயமாக உங்களுக்கு ஓர் அழகிய முன்மாதிரி இருக்கிறது; தம் சமூகத்தாரிடம் அவர்கள், “உங்களை விட்டும், இன்னும் அல்லாஹ்வையன்றி நீங்கள் வணங்குகிறவற்றைவிட்டும், நாங்கள் நிச்சயமாக நீங்கிக் கொண்டோம்; உங்களையும் நாங்கள் நிராகரித்து விட்டோம்; அன்றியும் ஏகனான அல்லாஹ் ஒருவன் மீதே நீங்கள் நம்பிக்கை கொள்ளும் வரை, நமக்கும் உங்களுக்குமிடையில் பகைமையும், வெறுப்பும் நிரந்தரமாக ஏற்பட்டு விட்டன” என்றார்கள். ஆனால் இப்றாஹீம் தம் தந்தையை நோக்கி: “அல்லாஹ்விடத்தில் உங்களுக்காக (அவனுடைய வேதனையிலிருந்து) எதையும் தடுக்க எனக்குச் சக்தி கிடையாது; ஆயினும் உங்களுக்காக நான் அவனிடத்தில் நிச்சயமாக மன்னிப்புத் தேடுவேன்” எனக் கூறியதைத் தவிர (மற்ற எல்லாவற்றிலும் முன் மாதிரியிருக்கிறது, அன்றியும், அவர் கூறினார்): “எங்கள் இறைவா! உன்னையே முற்றிலும் சார்ந்திருக்கிறோம்; (எதற்கும்) நாங்கள் உன்னையே நோக்குகிறோம்; மேலும், உன்னிடமே எங்கள் மீளுதலும் இருக்கிறது,”
Forsake your non-Muslim family members
உங்களது நெருங்கிய உறவினர்கள் காபிர்களாக இருந்தால் அவர்களையும் உதற வேண்டும்.
O ye who believe! Choose not your fathers nor your brethren for friends if they take pleasure in disbelief rather than faith. Whoso of you taketh them for friends, such are wrong-doers.
Qur’an 9:23
9:23. ஈமான் கொண்டவர்களே! உங்கள் தந்தைமார்களும் உங்கள் சகோதரர்களும், ஈமானை விட்டு குஃப்ரை நேசிப்பார்களானால், அவர்களை நீங்கள் பாதுகாப்பாளர்களாக எடுத்துக் கொள்ளாதீர்கள். உங்களில் யாரேனும் அவர்களை பாதுகாப்பாளர்களாக எடுத்துக் கொண்டால், அவர்கள் தான் அநியாயக்காரர்கள் ஆவார்கள்.
You shall not find a people who believe in Allah and the latter day befriending those who act in opposition to Allah and His Messenger, even though they were their (own) fathers, or their sons, or their brothers, or their kinsfolk; these are they into whose hearts He has impressed faith, and whom He has strengthened with an inspiration from Him: and He will cause them to enter gardens beneath which rivers flow, abiding therein; Allah is well-pleased with them and they are well-pleased with Him these are Allah’s party: now surely the party of Allah are the successful ones.
Qur’an 58:22
58:22. அல்லாஹ்வையும் இறுதி நாளையும் நம்பும் சமூகத்தினர், அல்லாஹ்வையும் அவனது தூதரையும் பகைத்துக் கொண்டவர்களை நேசிப்பவர்களாக (நபியே!) நீர் காணமாட்டீர். அவர்கள் தங்கள் பெற்றோராயினும் தங்கள் புதல்வர்களாயினும் தங்கள் சகோதரர்களாயினும் தங்கள் குடும்பத்தினராயினும் சரியே; (ஏனெனில்) அத்தகையவர்களின் இதயங்களில், (அல்லாஹ்) ஈமானை எழுதி(ப் பதித்து) விட்டான்; மேலும் அவன் தன்னிடமிருந்து (அருள் என்னும்) ஆன்மாவைக் கொண்டு பலப்படுத்தியிருக்கிறான்; சுவர்க்கச் சோலைகளில் என்றென்றும் இருக்கும்படி அவர்களைப் பிரவேசிக்கச் செய்வான்; அவற்றின் கீழே ஆறுகள் ஓடிக்கொண்டு இருக்கும். அல்லாஹ் அவர்களைப் பொருந்திக் கொண்டான்; அவர்களும் அவனைப் பொருந்திக் கொண்டார்கள். அவர்கள்தாம் அல்லாஹ்வின் கூட்டத்தினர்; அறிந்துகொள்க: நிச்சயமாக அல்லாஹ்வின் கூட்டத்தினர் தாம் வெற்றி பெறுவார்கள்.
